This page contains download for Chinese diesel engines. China built its first mainline diesel engines in early 1960s. All diesel electric locomotives were named DF, or Dongfeng, means "East Wind", with implicit meaning of "victory". Most diesel hydraulic locomotives were named BJ (Beijing) or DFH (Dawn). Imported locomotives were named by ND (diesel-electric) or NY (diesel-hydraulic). The new GE locomotives in the Tibet line were named NJ. DF1/3 Diesel Locomotive | DF1 (2000 HP, Co-Co) was designed as freight locomotive with max speed
of 90Km/h. Some DF1 was modified to become DF3 passenger locomotive
with max speed of 110Km/h. The design of DF1 started with helps from
the former soviet union, thus it looks simular to some types there. DF2
is a shunter (switcher) with similar designs. No DF1/DF2/DF3 is in
service today. Download DF3 Passenger Locomotive
DF4B Diesel Locomotives | DF4 (3300 HP Co-Co) was designed in mid 1960s and the production
started in 1970, with more than 5000 produced. You may see a lot of
DF4B, DF4C, DF4D today. Most DF4/DF4B are colored green (AKA Water
Mellon) or orange (AKA Citrus). DF4 maybe the most distinct Chinese
engines and the DF4 series is still in production. DF4B looks the same
as DF4 with better engine. The shape of DF4C and DF4D are more squared,
and DF4D can reach speed of 170 Km/h. Download DF4B version 1 Download DF4B version 2 (more detailed) Download DF4B with its own cab and sound
DF4C Diesel Locomotives | Download DF4C version 1 Download DF4C version 2 (detailed) (the above version needs password to extract and install, the password is "msts.y365.com". After installation, you need to copy a CABVIEW directoy and rename the CVF file to DF4.cvf. Sorry the installation is in Chinese.)
